Programs that work.
The Business Outreach Center (BOC) Network is a micro-enterprise and small business development organization with over a decade-long record of delivering customized business services to under-served entrepreneurs in New York City. BOC Network connects local entrepreneurs to a full complement of business assistance services. Among the programs BOC supports is the Mayor’s Equitable Industrial Development (EqID) Initiative.
The ICA Group is a leading expert on employee ownership and the oldest national organization dedicated to the development of worker cooperatives. ICA's Keep the Doors Open Business Resilience Program (KDO) helps business owners preserve their retirement savings, legacy, and local jobs by determining whether selling all or part of the business to their employees is right for them. The ICA Group administers the Fund for Jobs Worth Owning, which provides investment capital and gap financing for businesses transitioning to employee ownership.
The Working World is a Community Development Financial Institution connecting business owners with technical assistance, a pathway to funding sources (when appropriate), and an eligibility assessment for employee ownership transitions. In addition to working with employee owned firms for more than a decade, The Working World supports the Mayor’s Equitable Industrial Development (EqID)Initiative.
